The event was held at SRM University&#8217;s Delhi-NCR Campus in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, from February 18-20.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Organised in collaboration with the Royal Society of Chemistry, the VBCB-2025 conference was designed to propel India towards its goal of becoming a developed nation by 2047. It focused on using the chemical and biological sciences to enhance the lives of underserved communities and promote sustainable development. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The conference featured three thematic areas: Chemistry and Biology Interface (CBI), Medical Research and Biotechnology (MRB), and Science for Sustainable Development (SSD), each aimed at harnessing scientific innovation for societal and environmental betterment.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Competing against PhD scholars and postgraduate students, Vidiksha stood out with her research titled \u2018Detection of Biohazards Using CRISPR-Enhanced Devices\u2019. Her project uses the precision of CRISPR-Cas systems for the rapid and accurate detection of biological threats, which could significantly improve public health, biodefense, and environmental safety by offering cost-effective, real-time solutions.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Describing her experience, Vidiksha said her research was motivated by the global increase in biological threats, including pandemics and antimicrobial resistance. Her passion for molecular biology and biotechnology has driven her to develop innovative solutions to enhance global biosecurity.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She credits her success to the invaluable support of her mentor, Assistant Professor Geetansh Sharma from the <a href=\"https:\/\/shooliniuniversity.com\/school-of-bio-engineering-and-food-technology\">School of Bioengineering and Food Technology<\/a>, and the research-driven environment at Shoolini University. <strong>\u201cUnder the guidance of my mentor, I am conducting<em> <\/em>valuable research in microbial bioremediation and molecular biology,\u201d<\/strong> Vidiksha said.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>About B Tech Biotechnology at Shoolini\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Studying B Tech Biotechnology at Shoolini University offers students a distinct advantage through its blend of highly educated faculty, practical training, and strong industry connections. The program&#8217;s faculty includes alumni from globally esteemed institutions like Oxford, NIH, NCI, and Johns Hopkins Medical School, as well as top Indian universities such as IISc and JNU. This provides students expertise and insights into the latest scientific advancements.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Shoolini&#8217;s commitment to hands-on learning is evident in its 104+ laboratories and 11 Centres of Excellence, where students engage in live projects and practical exercises crucial for developing biotechnology skills. Furthermore, the program includes 6-month internships with leading organisations and regular industrial visits, allowing students to gain practical industry exposure and build professional networks. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Graduates of the B Tech Biotech program have diverse career opportunities in sectors such as biopharmaceuticals, agricultural biotechnology, biomedical engineering, and environmental biotechnology, with many securing positions at top companies <strong>like Biocon, Abbott, and Nestle.
