|Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MoFPI): The Food Technology program at Shoolini University is sponsored by the MoFPI, Govt. of India through infrastructure grant and food testing laboratory, the first one of its kind in Himachal Pradesh.|
|National Board of Accreditation (NBA): The NBA has accredited the Bachelor of Pharmacy programme of Shoolini University for a period of three years up to 2022.|
Shoolini University partners with reputed universities in USA, UK, Korea, Taiwan etc. to offer quality academic programmes. An integral part of the curriculum is training the students to be able to produce future scientists of the nation. We offer undergraduate, masters, and doctoral level programs all three disciplines --Biotechnology, Microbiology, and Food Technology.

Aligned with Shoolini University's thrust areas of research, the focus at the department of Applied Sciences and Biotechnology is to harness Himalayan biodiversity. In the last 10 years, we have produced about 113 PhDs and 85 MPhils in Biotechnology and Microbiology. Additionally, research grants worth Rs. 10 crores have been generated from DST, DBT, ICMR, NMHS, HIMCOSTE and MoFPI. More than 350 research papers have been published in journals of national and international repute. The highest impact factor of these journals is 14 and their contributors are internationally-acclaimed scholars.
Scientists of the department, along with UG and PG students, have filed 130+ patents in translational research of international importance. The Faculty has been sanctioned a food-testing laboratory by MOFPI and DST-FIST grant for infrastructure development. Recently, the department has been selected as a centre for skill development under DBT-HIMCOSTE program. It is emerging as a leading center for Biotechnology research in India.
