The agricultural industry is undergoing a critical phase of adaptation and change as it faces numerous environmental and social challenges. Growth and development of agriculture is important for overall economic development as the expansion of market for industrial goods and services hinges on agriculture growth. Agriculture sector demands trained human resource in its various sub-disciplines, especially scientific agriculture.
To meet up with the growing demand, innovative thinkers, honing practical skills, are being carved out. Faculty of Agriculture at Shoolini University aims to instil technical and managerial skills to prepare students to pursue a career in food, environment, health, heritage and creativity, and prosperity and resilience. Located in the midst of a thriving Himalayan ecosystem, we aim at professionalizing agriculture so that our graduates take pride being part of agriculture courses.
Our four-year graduate degree programme is being run as per the guidelines of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR). Students have the option to choose electives in the second year of the programme. Course modules like Rural Agriculture Work Experience & Agro-industrial Attachment (RAWE & AIA) and the experiential learning programme (ELP) give the students hands-on experience and confidence to face the real life challenges in their agri-entrepreneurial endeavors.
