The thing which attracted me the most to join Shoolini University is the ambition of Shoolini to be among the top 200 global universities by 2020” says Henok Gulilat from Ethopia.

He has completed his graduation in Chemistry from Ethiopia, after clearing ICCR scholarship (Scholarship from Indian Embassy) he did his post-graduation in Biochemistry from Madras University and presently pursuing his Ph.D. from Shoolini University. He has explored India from Jammu and Kashmir to Kanyakumari and knows everything about Indian culture. He loves India because of its colorful culture and environment. He said that he has explored India to the point that he is confident that he knows about this country more than any Indian can know. As for my family background, “I am born in an educated family. My father is a professor in Hawassa University; mother is Masters in Art and a teacher in Foreign Language and Literature. I have four younger brothers and sisters.

One is graduate in pharmacy; another is graduate in Hydropower, others have their graduation degrees in nursing and civil engineering whereas one is currently pursuing his MBBS. When asked about his experience in Shoolini University, he finds the cultural difference, peace and calmness in environment. He appreciates the cold weather of Himachal Pradesh.

His opinions about the difference in education between India and Africa is that Africans are more into theories and less experiments while on the other hand, Indian curriculum focus both on experiments and theories.

He is currently working on cancer immunotherapy with experiments on the green and yellow leaves of pinus in Shoolini University, which is approved by Vice Chancellor Dr. Prem Kumar Khosla. On being inquired about his future plans, he said that his next stop is positively South Korea and then he will return to his home country, Ethiopia.
