Shoolini Student to attend UN Youth Assembly

Yatin Kumar, a B Tech (Food Technology) student of Shoolini University, has been selected for attending and representing India at the United Nations Youth Assembly. He has been fully funded by Shoolini University to attend the conference taking place at New York in August.

The gathering takes place once a year, were youth from around the world gather to discuss sustainable development agenda of 2030.

Launched in 2004, the Youth Assembly at the United Nations (YA) is a unique platform for fosteringdialogue and generating partnerships between exceptional youth, civil society, the private sector, and theUnited Nations. For more than a decade, the Youth Assembly has grown to become the largest andlongest-running youth conference that takes place at the heart of global change – the United Nations.Each session, it brings together hundreds of young people from around the world who seek practicalways to become active participants in achieving sustainable development.

WHAT HAPPENS AT ASSEMBLY?

At the Youth assembly, young leaders from around the world gather to tackle the world's greatest challenges. Participants discover fresh insights and solutions inspire others with their work, and form lasting connections with peers and seasoned leaders from NGO, businesses, and international bodies and agencies.

The Youth Assembly at the United Nations is organized by Friendship Ambassadors Foundation throughlead endorsements of Permanent Missions to the United Nations, with the support and participation of UN.

Previously, Yatin had received a fully funded scholarship to Osaka University under the Sakura Science Programme of the Japanese Government. He also received a scholarship in Taiwan.
