Shoolini University set to organize its very first National Moot Court Competition
We are set to organize one of the biggest legal battles of North India. The 2nd National Moot Court Competition will be held at Shoolini University on the 1st & 2nd of November, 2018. With a total of 46 teams, the competition will witness 150 students of the top law schools showcasing some of the highest levels of oral advocacy. The competition aims to provide an opportunity for students to build advocacy skills, hone public speaking acumen, and participate in legal analysis in various areas of law.
Mr. Mohit Bamsal (ACJM, Solan), Prof. Sanjay Sindhu (Chairman, Dept. of Law, HPU), Mr. B.L. Soni (Retd. Sessions Judge) will serve as valedictories. Dr. Gyan Thakur (Dy. Director, SFSL, Junga) will be the guest of honor. The legal battle will be adjudged by Mr. Rajendra Bhatt (Addl. Secretary, Law) along with Justice SS Thakur. It will be held at Justice R.S. Pathak Memorial Moot Court Hall.
National Moot Court Competition will cover diverse topics pertaining to criminal law. It will also provide the students with a great platform to work in a courtroom scenario, analyse problems, research the relevant laws, prepare written submissions, and present oral arguments in front of experienced professionals.
Mooting helps in the overall development of students as a good and proficient lawyer as it familiarizes them with the proceedings that generally occur in real courtrooms.
