Shoolini students to complete studies in South Korea under Bilateral Exchange Programme

Shoolini University of Biotechnology and Management Sciences which is working with a single minded focus on getting into top 200 Global universities by 2022 has already strategized few areas of importance which shall help it in fulfilling its vision. One of them is the alliances with International Institutes of repute. The University had earlier signed anMoU with South Korea Universities such as Seoul National University, Gachon University, University of Suwon and Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology (GSIT) South Korea in a bid to develop alliances and partnerships with International institutes.As a follow up, VivekSoni and BhanuPratap Singh, B Tech ECE 8th semester students to study in Gachon University, under the student exchange programme for one semester. Three more students,Palak Srivastava, Gauravi Sharma and RichaVerma from Computer Science and Engineering will be proceeding to complete their 8th semester study at Gachon University under this programme.

The students have been awarded a fellowship which will help them in paying for their boarding, lodging and tuition fee expenditure at the South Korean Universities so that they can get this once in a lifetime opportunity to study abroad and learn from the experts. The Anand Automotive group has agreed in principle to offer a short term job for these students in Korean Industries functioning in India after the completion of their programs so as to enable them to pay off the travelling and other contingent expenses.

The MoU signed between these South Korean universities and Shoolini University of Biotechnology and Management Sciences is meant for the promotion of Science, Engineering and management  courses and the research grant generated with this collaboration in the form of joint research projects, shall be utilized for the future collaborations as well as the student and faculty exchange programs.  As an initiative towards this agreement, Dr. Hyoung –in-Lee from Seoul National University shall be teaching as a foreign faculty rendering his services in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering as per the semester curriculum. This will not only help in improving the quality of education but shall also help in fulfilling the parameters  specified in the process of attaining top global ranking  and shall also fulfill the universities vision of coming in top 200 global universities by 2022 .

Speaking on this occasion, Professor PKKhosla, Vice Chancellor Shoolini University of Biotechnology and Management Sciences called this as a historic moment and said that it is a big honour for the university. He further added that the objective of this agreement is to promote the educational and academic exchanges between the institutes and more such efforts will be made to encourage direct contact, research cooperation and exchange thus forming a tripartite collaboration between Korean Universities, Shoolini University of Biotechnology and Management Sciences and Korean Industries in India as well as Korea.
