Shoolini Faculty Member Presents at Annual Conference of Australian Pharmaceutical Scientist Association
Dr Rohit Goyal, Associate Professor, Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Shoolini University presented his research work at the annual conference of Australasian Pharmaceutical Scientist Association as part of the University’s global outreach program. The theme of the conference was “Precision, medicine and personalising healthcare” and this event was held at the University of Sydney from December 2 to 5, 2016.
Dr. Goyal research made an oral presentation on “Investigation for novel pharmacological interventions for prevention of Alzheimer’s Disease (AD)”. For his visit to Sydney, Dr Goyal also received a travel award presented by the Department of Science & Technology (DST)-SERB, New Delhi.
His research may be used to develop novel pharmacological strategies to prevent the progressive stages of AD or disorders related to the brain, including progressive diseases like dementia. The research was appraised by scientists and speakers from various institutions like the University of Tasmania, Monash University and University of Queensland. During his visit, he interacted with scientists and pharma professionals involved in clinical and community pharmacy work in Australia.
These pharma professionals are mainly involved in the work that focuses on the positive implementation of prescription and to deliver right information about the use as well as any adverse effects of the medication.
