Reputed foreign universities pick 9 Shoolini students
Nine students from Shoolini University have been selected for semester exchange at reputed universities in China, Taiwan and South Korea. These students will be provided scholarships from their host universities.
Among the selected students for Gachon University, South Korea are Anamika, Avinash Rangra, Sheetal, Vaishnavi Sood, and Versha Devi. While Ankit Sharma and Champa will be leaving for China’s Sichuan University, Swati Thakur and Vipul Sharma will be spending the next six months at Taiwan’s Chung Yuan Christian University.
Shoolini’s Director of International Affairs Dr. Ram Prakash Dwivedi informed that the students would receive scholarships, which will cover their boarding, lodging and tuition fee. In addition to the above, students going to China will receive an additional Rs 30,000 per month for food and other expenses.Apart from studying the course curriculum, the students will also get a chance to learn Korean, and Chinese languages through short-term language courses.
Excited about the exchange programme, Journalism student Vaishnavi said, “I thank Shoolini for this great opportunity as it will be a great boost to my career and an enriching experience for me as an individual. It is my first trip abroad and I am looking forward to meeting new people and learning a lot of new things".
Shoolini University has signed MoUs with several renowned universities for joint research projects and exchange of students and faculty. In the past three years, over 80 students from various faculties of the university have gone on the international exchange programme to USA, South Korea, Taiwan, Japan and China with several students bagging scholarships for higher studies.
Speaking on this occasion, Professor PK Khosla, Vice Chancellor, Shoolini University, said, “Our aim is to promote international educational and academic exchanges. We have made consistent efforts to encourage direct contact, research cooperation, and exchange”.
