Awareness Drive and Cleanliness Drive Mark World Cancer Day at Shoolini

Shoolini alumni Varun awarded Newton-Bhabha Ph.D. placement

Shoolini University M. Pharmacy topper Varun Gupta has bagged the prestigious Newton Bhabha Ph.D. placement award, according to recent results declared by the British Council. This sponsorship by the British Council and the Government of India, will allow Varun to spend four months at the University of Glasgow, UK where he will be learning the latest techniques used in neuropharmacology research.

Centre okays 100-bed yoga and naturopathy hospital for Shoolini University

Shoolini University has been accorded sanction to set up a 100-bed Naturopathy and Yoga hospital with a grant of Rs. 80 lakh by the central government. In a communication to the university, the Central Council for Research has conveyed a financial assistance of Rs.80 lakh for the establishment of a 100-bed hospital of naturopathy and yoga. The University also proposes to start a UGC approved five-year Bachelor of Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences (BNYS) from the next academic session.

Shoolini Science Event 2017 brings together young science enthusiasts

Shoolini University’s School of Bioengineering and Food Technology recently organized the Shoolini Science Event 2017 at the university campus. Over a dozen schools from Shimla and Solan took part in this yearly science event focused towards bringing together young science enthusiasts and encouraging them to take up a career in science. This year’s theme was “Role of Science in Fighting Hunger and Malnutrition in the Country”.
