In order to create awareness among the school children about the business environment, a Quiz contest with the name of ‘Biz Quiz’ was organized in the university campus by School of Business Management of Shoolini University of Biotechnology and Management Sciences. St Lukes from Solan won the competition where as The Lawrence School, Sanawar and St Mary’s School Kasauli won second and third prize respectively. Cash prizes of Rs 10000, Rs 8000 and Rs 5000 were given to the winners, runners up and second runners up by the Chief Guest of the occasion, Satish Anand, Pro- Chancellor of the university.
Intra school quiz competition was held in 14 schools on 17th, 18th, 19th of October, in different schools of district Solan and Shimla. Competition amongst the teams was held in the university campus which was anchored by a famous singer, music director and actor Vandana Vadhera. She is acting for her upcoming movie ‘Agent Vinod’ and has written and composed songs for upcoming children film ‘Mr Jinnie in Mumbai’. She also gave a mesmerizing performance during the cultural night. A dance competition was held between different departments of the university in which Shweta from Biotechnology department won a cash prize of Rs 5000.
